“Picked this up during a sale. The R8 is a GREAT camera! I had no concerns with its performance general. I have a number R bodies and they all perform exceptionally well, and the R8 is no different. The only thing I was a bit apprehensive about on the R8 is the smaller battery. I'm happy to report the battery has exceeded my expectations. You'll still likely need an extra battery for those days where you're planning on taking a lot of pictures or video, but it was much better performance than what I expected. Proper setup of the R8 is essential when it comes to battery life as well. Other things that surprised me is how good it felt in your hands. I have have pretty large hands and the grip was deep enough to give a very comfortable fit for such a small body. All in all very happy with my purchase.”
